Beware "The Outbreak", Horizon Hobby's Latest R/C Monster Truck
Just in time for the holiday shopping season, Horizon Hobby has launched a new, budget-friendly radio-controlled vehicle under their Force RC brand. The Outbreak is a 1/10-scale ready-to-run (RTR), four-wheel drive monster truck that appears to pack quite a bit of fun into a sub-$150 package.
Featuring a brushed, 550-size motor, NiMh battery, and water-resistant electronics (steering servo, receiver, ESC, and motor), the Outbreak is designed for durability and all-out fun.
Oil-filled, adjustable shocks are also included on this model, allowing you to fine-tune the handling performance of this truck to best-suit your driving conditions.
A 2.4GHz, pistol-grip radio transmitter is also included in the package, rounding out this well-equipped RTR setup.
Available in two body colors (black or red), this monster truck features a splattered graphics scheme and aggressive body design.
The Force RC Outbreak monster truck is priced at $139.99 and is due in early-December (2017). If you're looking to pick up a lower-cost R/C truck for bashing around and having a good time, this model might be worth looking into.
