Boom Racing High-mass 1.9 Beadlock Wheel Review

Just when I thought I was out…they pull me back in.  A great line from a great movie and also my thoughts when it comes to my upgrades for my Axial SCX10 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon RTR.  Here I thought I had finished up my customizations and tweaks after adding an array of LED light kits. Boy, was I wrong.

Shortly after reading about Boom Racing’s new high-mass aluminum beadlock wheels being released, my interest was piqued and I knew I needed to check them out. At a reasonable price-point ($28.50 per pair) and with a great selection of styles, I found one in-particular that I liked and that would fit well with my Jeep.

The installation and setup of these wheels is straightforward and very easy.  To help illustrate this, I’ve put together a quick video that not only demonstrates the installation process but gives an overview of the wheel quality and appearance. Add to that their hefty weight, these will help stability and performance when hitting the trail or local crawling course.
