FPV Quad Racer Paul Nurkkala Joins Team Futaba
Team Futaba has added another talented pilot to their "Air Team" with the signing of Paul Nurkkala. Nurk is a wealth of knowlege when it comes to multirotor aircraft flight and does a tremendous job of educating others on the hobby and sport of FPV flying.
He shares details on R/C quadcopter products on his website, paulnurkkala.com, and gives an entertaining, behind-the-scenes view of life as a FPV racer through his vlog.
On the equipment side, he uses a Futaba 18SZ transmitter and Futaba R2001SB receiver during his competitive flights.
Team Futaba is proud to introduce leading FPV racer Paul “Nurk” Nurkkala to the 2017 lineup. Paul’s racing career includes a first-place finish in Race 1 of the 2017 APD Spring Series, a first-place win at the 2016 Flight Bash and a second-place finish at last year’s DSA Drone Worlds. He also offers racing tips and reviews FPV gear on his YouTube video channel.
“My interest in FPV racing is driven not only by the exciting thrills that come from being a pilot, building a machine and pitting your skills against other pilots from around the world, but also the culture and passion that is constantly demonstrated by the FPV community,” says Nurkkala. “FPV is more than a hobby. Like playing an instrument or learning how to paint, it’s a form of self-expression,” he says.
If you want to follow Nurk's journey as a FPV racer, you can keep up with him on Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook and paulnurkkala.com.
