Looking for a Budget Basher? Check Out ARRMA's Refreshed Granite 4x4 V3 MEGA Monster Truck
ARRMA has been crushing the "new release" game in 2020, and they're keeping the mojo going thanks to a number of refreshed models. One of which is the Granite 4x4 V3 MEGA monster truck. Featuring updated chassis components, electronics, and body details, this appears to be a great option for those looking for a budget-friendly radio-controlled truck.
On the surface, the body of the Granite 4x4 V3 MEGA has a slightly different look from past models, thanks to small tweaks in the body and decals. Two body colors are available for this model, allowing you to choose your favorite combo (blue/black or white/red).
Under the lid, the chassis has been strengthened and includes aluminum hinge pin plates on the front and rear. Steering clearance has been increased and the steering setup has been redesigned to allow for debris to clear itself with greater ease.
Much like their other models, this monster truck features a modular design for easier cleaning, maintenance, and upgrades. The motor, ESC, and other electronics can be easily removed when the need arises.
The radio system that's been paired with the Granite 4x4 V3 is Spektrum's SLT3 transmitter and SLR300 receiver. The transmitter offers improved grip and trigger feel and force and a thumb-activated 3rd channel switch. As a bonus, the Spektrum SLT3 is compatible with the Tactic SLT receiver.
