R/C Hobbyist Spotlight: Jeff Ramos (Team Green RC)
The latest entry in the R/C Hobbyist Spotlight features an individual who shows a deep, undying passion for the radio-controlled hobby in every vehicle he builds. On top of that, the level of support and enjoyment for this hobby that is shown by Jeff Ramos (Team Green RC) reaches far beyond his own fleet of R/C machines. He is also a member of the ASD Crawlers RC Facebook group, which is made up of hobbyists that strive to spread awareness for autism.
By sharing their love for the hobby, this group creates strong bonds that reach beyond scale vehicles. ASD Crawlers RC members also host events that are both encouraging and uplifting for children with autism. As I have seen time and time again, the community of R/C enthusiasts seemingly knows no bounds when it comes to compassion for others and willingness to help those in need.
The collection of mean, green R/C machines that Jeff has in his hobby garage vary from trail trucks to on-road racers. Though built for a variety of terrain, Jeff’s vehicles all have a common bond. Their color. It’s hard to miss one of his customized cars or tricked-out trucks on the street or trail. One of his latest builds, an Axial EXO Terra, is a true beast of a machine that features a unique visual look. Giving this vehicle the “beast” label may be premature, as one of his current R/C builds is an Axial-based 6x6 rig.
