Traxxas Spartan SR Self-Righting R/C Speedboat
Summer's coming, and you know what that means. It's time to pack the cooler and head to the beach for a day of fun in the sun. And what better way to spend the day than shredding waves with a radio-controlled boat?
In time for warm-weather excitement, Traxxas has released its latest R/C boat, the Spartan SR. This brushless-powered, self-righting speed boat is a next-generation version of the Spartan High-Performance Race Boat, featuring several upgrades and design enhancements over that model.
This boat measures just over 40 inches long and 9.50 inches wide. Its deep-v hull design should ensure quick, precise handling at high speeds.
Powered by a VXL-6S ESC and Velineon 540X Marine brushless motor, the Spartan SR doesn't lack power. With two-battery support, this radio-controlled watercraft is capable of speeds more than 50mph.
Traxxas has several internal tweaks to this model, including a redesigned electronics layout and battery tray, beefier prop shafts, a screw-down "clipless" hatch, and self-righting functionality.
The Spartan SR features three graphics styles, allowing it to be seen easily while on the open water.
